Sometimes I Need The Reminder...

Hi All!

I hope this post finds you well. In the midst of the myriad challenges that our world faces today – from health crises to geopolitical tensions, from political divides to unpredictable weather events – allow me to take a moment to remind you (and myself as well) of the enduring source of strength, hope, and solace that is available in the Lord.

It's easy for me to feel overwhelmed and uncertain in times of turmoil, but we are not alone in this journey! As followers of Christ, we are called to trust in His divine plan, even when the world around us seems chaotic. The Bible is replete with passages that reassure us of God's presence and His ultimate sovereignty.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." – Proverbs 3:5-6

This verse encapsulates the essence of our faith – trusting the Lord wholeheartedly, even when we cannot comprehend the circumstances we face. Amid illness, strife, and uncertainty, our trust in God's wisdom becomes our anchor, steadying us as we navigate the stormy waters.

"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." – Isaiah 40:8

The world around us will change, and trials will arise, but the Word of God remains unchanging and constant. Its promises offer us comfort and guidance, assuring us that no matter what we encounter, God's truth and love will endure.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." – Matthew 11:28

In times of weariness and distress, Christ offers us rest for our souls. His embrace is a refuge from the storms that rage around us. As we navigate the challenges of this world, let's not forget that Christ's promise of peace transcends any turmoil we might face.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be a light in the darkness, spreading His hope with joy and humility. Our steadfast trust in the Lord might even inspire others to look up, to seek Him amid their own difficulties.

Let's hold tightly to the unchanging truth of God's Word, knowing that it is trustworthy, even when it may be difficult to comprehend. In a world of uncertainty, Christ remains the answer for our hearts, our minds, and our world.

In His care!

Brent

P.S. Speaking of peaceful, here's a pretty picture from my recent trip to Hawaii!
