When I was a kid, I was constantly doodling and creating characters. I was mesmerized by the artwork of legendary animators Ollie Johnston, Freddie Moore and others. I loved the warmth and appeal of their designs! As I got older, I discoved that good art is an great way to tell impactful stories.​

     So I decided to do something about it. My first book Neckless: The Audrey Amaka Story was published and released in late 2010 to enthusiastic response. In the years since, I have written, illustrated, or art directed twenty-six children's books—including an additional six titles of my own.

     I am a stickler for excellence at every stage of the process. Along with a well-crafted story, a timeless message and appealing illustrations, each of my books is printed with quality and durability in mind.
